Each page you create is a unique location on the web with its own content and metadata. All pages part of your website are managed within under the Pages icon of the liveedit toolbar.
Once you access Pages, you will see a list on the left hand side. The blue boxes are called Menus, to learn more about menus please see here. Within each menu, the silvers bars are pages.
There are quite a few different pages types you can create within our platform. Each page is indicate by an icon. Below is a listed of the different types.
Different page types:
A Page is a blank page that you can place in your own content through our Edit tools. This page will count against the total page limit of your website's package. These pages allow you to update the SEO content, such as a Title Tag. To learn more please see here.
A Page Alias directs the user to an existing page within your Aurora website. The content on a Page Alias will reflect the same content on the existing page it was made from. You would create a Page Alias when you want to include an existing page inside a second Menu Location. If you are looking to make a duplicate page, yet change the content, please see here.
A Link directs the user to a location outside of your Aurora website. It is recommended that you choose to open Links in a new window, so that the user will be able to find their way back to your Aurora website.
Sub Menus are used to created dropdown tabs. To learn more about creating dropdowns, please see our guided video here.
The Service Menu Item allows you to quickly link to an Aurora Service from a Menu. Common services that are linked include: Blog and the Recipe App.
The Advanced Menu Item allows you to insert HTML and other code into your Menu. While it allows for complex and powerful effects, it is intended for expert designers.

How to Create a Page:
To create a new page, click on the Add Item button located in the top right hand corner.
Once the Add Item window opens up, select the type of item you would like to create, then fill out the required information and click the ‘create’ button. Your newly created tab will now appear in the Menu location you selected.
Display Name: This is the text that will be used for the link to this Menu Item when it is displayed inside a Menu.
Open in New Window: If this box is checked, the Menu Item will open in a new window when selected from a Menu or Sub Menu. When directing your visitors to pages outside your website, it is recommended that you open that page in a new window.
CSS ID & CSS Class: Apply an optional CSS ID or Class. This is an advance future used for custom website designs.
Title: The Title is the text that appears at the top of your browser window. It also appears in Bookmarks created by your visitors, as the headline on search engine return pages, as well as other places. For more information, please see our guide here.
Page URL: This is an optional field that is not required to create a page. In this field, you can choose a specific URL for this page. If you put in your own URL, please do not include spaces, file extension (for example, .html) or the URL path leading to this page (e.g. the full website URL). For example, if you are creating a new page called 'Teacher Training', you could enter in 'teacher-training' into the URL field. Note: If this field is left blank, the URL will be automatically set based off the Display Name.
Description: The meta description is included in the HTML of your page and is part of the equation used by search engines to determine your page's relevance. It works in concert with your title tag to influence your placement on search engine return pages and tells readers what information they can glean if they click through to your site.
The keywords are included in the HTML of your page and are a part of the equation that search engines use to determine your page's relevance. Many search engines - Google included - assign little value to keywords on their own. However, the keyword data field does add value to your site's overall ranking. Due to the ever-evolving nature of the Google Algorithm, using the Keywords meta tag to inject keywords is not recommended. The field is still present in our platform, but our SEO team strongly advises site owners to use it with caution (or not at all) and to avoid 'keyword stuffing.'
Default Page: If this box is checked for a Page, it will become the Default Page for the site. (Also known as the Home Page.) Users going to the URL without another page specified are brought to the Default Page, as well as users who click on the site logo (in most designs).
Menu Location: Choose an existing Menu to place this page in.
